flu vaccinations
Thousands of Australians are hospitalised each year from influenza (flu) or complications caused by the flu. The influenza vaccination is an effective way to protect against the virus. Influenza viruses change every year because the virus has a unique ability to change. This means that even if you had the flu vaccination last year, your body’s immune system might not be able to fight the changed version of the virus this season.
If you are over 5 years and want to protect against the flu this year, book in for your appointment today.
Cost is $27.98. (The service is 100% subsidised if you qualify under the National Immunisation Program). *Eligible people under the National Immunisation Program include:
People aged 65 and older
Pregnant women
All Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people aged 6 months or over
People aged 6 months and older with medical conditions that put them at risk of complications from the flu.
If there is no avalable time available online that suits your needs please call the pharmcy on 03 9370 4146.
